Purchased this for my 6 year old son and he loves it. Especially that the keys light up while you are learning a song. Decent sound quality and very easy to use and set up. The app is great and my really old iPad Air had no issues running it!

The shipping was fast and well pack. Now its time to start play with and learn the piano !

This keyboard is great! Our only problem is the kids arguing about whose turn it is to play it.

This is a really nice keyboard for children to be learning on. Both of my kids regularly request it, and the little tablet stand that allows you to set up a music station with the app is a really nice touch. We set up the app just so that we can see what it was about, and really liked the capabilities it had, and I spent a happy 20 minutes warming up my fingers on the keys with the guidance on the app.My children are at ages where they are still just having fun playing around and experimenting without that kind of guidance, and for that, this has been a great keyboard as well. The keys have been sturdy and the sound quality is very nice. It's easy to turn on and off and adjust the volume.Overall I'm really happy with the quality and the app offerings for learning on this.

I still use it now. I feel like this is going to be a toy I can play with for a long time.

Just a little more volume power and it would be perfect but ultimately a very solid starter piano my daughter will adore it thanks yall

Purchased for my daughter to learn. My daughter absolutely loves music so I found the cost more then worth it and appearance wise it's not an eye sore. My biggest thing was that I didn't want something that was more toy than instrument.

This is a nice piano, has lots of features when you pair it with their app. You can play games, change the sound, it will track which notes you play, light up keys, all kinds of stuff. Lots of free music and games in the app, but there are paid things as well. The downside is that without the app there are only a few buttons, so to change he tone it's just one button with no display so you have to keep hitting it, really annoying. Wish it had more basic functionality when a device isn't hooked up to it.

We have had this piano for our 10 year old daughter and she had loved it!!! Good quality and I personally love how it looks nice and modern verses the typical black and white.

This is great. Once i got everything hooked up I was learning a song almost instantly. I did notice the cord that connects from the keyboard to the my ipad has to be from this company to work. Was about $40. Also the keyboard once you get rolling does seem to have a bit of a quality issue for how hard you push the keys. Mind you this was well after I learned 6 songs. This is great for beginners I'm moving up to the larger weighted keys to continue learning. This was a great bang for its buck, highly recommended.
Veronica ****
This is a good learning keyboard and has several fun features to teach you how to play. I'm still playing with it and learning how to use it better but so far it's exactly what I wanted.

Excellent for beginners!

Okay, you're not sure if you and piano are going to get along, but you want to try it out. Don't go for the cheapest model, that's not a fair trial. This model is a few steps up from that -- it has a decent sound, volume control that has a wide range including low volumes for apartment dwellers. It has 61 keys, which is really all you need most of the time. It doesn't have so many bells and whistles that you are overwhelmed by the technology. It's just the piano ad a power cord. Plug it in and get started. If you are still at it six months from now, seriously consider upgrading to a full sized 88 key keyboard, or even better, a real piano. Good starter piano!

I have to start my review by saying I got this keyboard for my eight year old daughter, as a practice instrument. I am a Vine Voice reviewer and this item was made available for me for review, and it was perfect timing because my daughter is just starting piano lessons. For her, it's a perfect practice instrument. I see that other reviewers have been disappointed in some of the instrument's functionality beyond its use as a basic keyboard; I agree that there are much better products if you're looking to do things like create beats and have different instrument sounds coming out of the machine, etc. I also have read some problems people are having using the apps that come with the instrument; I can't comment on those, as I haven't tried them and don't actually need them for the purpose of the keyboard for us.

I'm impressed with how much technology has been added to this keyboard. It is full sized and can be connected to a microphone, headphones, MP3/CD player, audio equipment like an amplifier, and a pedal. You can connect it to your smart device to record sounds or to use the device as a speaker. There are 20 built in tones. There is a music/device stand.

I'm not a keyboard player but always wanted to learn. Of course the first thing you need to do in order to play from sheet music is to memorize which lines/spaces on the staff correspond to which key. Well, I never wanted to learn THAT bad. This has the keys light up, which makes all the difference. I just hooked up my Nexus 7 tablet to it (it even comes with a USB cable that actually had the correct connector), downloaded the app from the Google Play store, and in a couple of minutes I was playing. The sheet music comes up on your tablet or other device, and you can either play by yourself, at your own speed, just pressing the keys as they light up, or you can push "play" and it will play the song and you play along with it. You can change the tempo of the song (full tempo, 80%, 60% or 40% of full tempo), so keeping up isn't a problem. Of course the regular treble and bass clefs come up on the tablet, so you can get a feel for where the keys on the keyboard that correspond to the notes on the staff are located. The amount of music available on the app seems fairly robust; they have categories for classical, traditional, jazz, pop, film score, as well as exercises. Some categories, like classical, exercises, and pop seem to have a good deal of music, while others like traditional, jazz and film score have less. For a beginner like me though, there's more than enough to keep me busy for a year or more.I like the minimalist design - my last keyboard was covered in a plethora of sliders, buttons and switches, most of which I had absolutely no use for. This just has four controls: volume, sustain, tone (it has 20 built in sounds), and on/off. Sound quality from the speakers is okay, it's not going to fool anyone into thinking they're listening to a real piano, but for the money it creates a reasonable facsimile.Overall I'm very happy with this unit and look forward to actually learning to play some music with it. And of course, hearing yourself playing something musical is the best inspiration there is as far as getting the beginner to practice more.

The keys are lighter than I would like, but that's a minor disappointment. It's a keyboard that requires a light, deft touch as opposed to a full piano with the standard 88 keys. The keyboard is attractive from an aesthetic standpoint. The keyboard comes equipped with its own app and a veritable cornucopia of songs. The app will alert users as to whether or not the songs are compatible and that has been an issue for me as well as other U.S. reviewers. The big drawback is that this keyboard is somewhat limited in that one does not have the full range of musical playing options that a full piano has to offer. The speakers work well. The keys light up so the player has to develop a speed to match the lit keys. It's fun and a step above a player piano which is programmed to play itself. Those always seemed so useless to me as nobody is playing it and that takes away the experience. The best feature this keyboard has to offer is that it is a good teaching tool. Anybody, whether an autodidact or a student will get something out of it.

I bought this for my daughter who would like to learn how to play music. So far everything is working as advertised.

This piano helped me learn the basics. My main worry about not having a teacher was learning improper finger positioning. But this app trains just that well, in addition the light feedback, it was overall fun to learn.

This keyboard replaced a less expensive Casio we had that my daughter trashed over the years (keys missing, etc). So happy to upgrade to "The One". Mainly used by my 12-year old daughter who loves music but only dabbles with various instruments before her attention span moves on to the next thing. What we like: ++The speakers. The speaker sound/quality is definitely much better than the old Casio (though The1 cost more) and the speakers are physically pretty big size relative to the old Casio. ++The connectivity. Getting up and running on the iPad app was fairly painless and the app works well with the keyboard. My daughter has taken the concessional piano lesson (at $100 per) and she learned some new things on the keyboard using the app...so that alone is kind of worth it compared to the cost of live lessons. Light up keys also very cool to follow along and help accelerate learning (before attention span runs out). ++Overall build quality and design. They're going for the minimalist design here which works well because alot of the interface is through the app. Our old Casio had buttons everywhere (and we didn't know what half of them did - it did not have app connectivity). The keyboard appears sturdy enough for the pricepoint and no issues with broken keys or anything so far. What could be better: --Keys are a bit light but too be expected at this pricepoint. --The app connectivity is a pro and a con. Reliance that this company will continue to invest and maintain the apps else the keyboard becomes mostly a brick with the minimalist design. But from what I see The One has alot of products out there with good reviews and they appear to be a reputable company committed to building and supporting good products.Overall at current price of $279 I think this is a pretty good value relative to other options out there if you're looking for some features to accelerate your learning (app guided and lighted keys) along with pretty good speaker sound at this pricepoint. Some thought went into this product. 4-STAR rating by me in consideration of price/value.

I grew up taking piano lessons. I really wish The One Smart Piano was around when I was learning. The integration of the app with the keyboard is truly the best system I have seen and really makes it easy to learn how to play. This keyboard lights up as you move through the music and actually waits until you hit the right key before you move on. The app also allows for different styles of learning; one is a game where you play the notes (think guitar hero with the keyboard). Another way to learn is with more traditional sheet music. With the app, you can also select the level and adjust the speed of songs. The one downside to this keyboard is that it is only 61 keys, so not the full 88-keys of a piano. 61 keys is still great for learning and practicing (and the shorter keyboard makes it a bit more portable for storing). I would recommend it for levels from beginner to intermediate for all ages. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

I bought this for myself. When I was young, there is no chance to learn piano or any other instrument. Now with this keyboard, I can learn piano with the apps. I tried several songs in the app. Some of them are easy to follow, but others are a little bit difficult. Recently, I practice playing with this keyboard 30min everyday. (Don't need to drive to the teacher.) I really like it.

well designed product was my first impression when I received the keyboard.I finally start to play with it today, and I think it would be a wise choice no matter you are a beginner pr intermediate player. The tutorial videos are demonstrated by Lang Lang and the courses are easy to follow. (you have to download the app first)It's portable and fairly light, so it will be a good pick if you travel or move pretty often.I will definitely recommend this product to those who are interested in getting a keyboard.More comments will be coming soon once I get addicted to it.

I played the Piano about 10 years ago and really wanted to pick it up again. I really liked the keyboard as it鈥檚 very easy to set up and use. After spending a few hours playing the keyboard over the weekend, I actually picked my piano skills after almost 10 years. Just love it!And the app is very easy to use, too. Very cost effective.

I bought this as a family gift for Christmas. This is s hit! Every single person including my husband has been using this everyday. Learning music, playing their own music and so forth. The keys light up great and it's easy to follow. The only thing I would say is that it would be easier to use a tablet for app because of a bigger screen then a smart phone. Other than that it's perfect. My husband as added a guitar to the set and wants to start a family "band". LolWhatever keeps the family spending time together!!

TABLET NOT INCLUDEDThe description really was not clear on whether there was one included or not. I assumed not but it never said "Tablet not included" even on the box. SO YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE/PROVIDE one of your own. This is a really great learning tool. Piano takes lots of practice and the games help.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed when I realized that this did not work with my Galaxy 8. However, it did work on my wife's Galaxy 7 as well as my son's iPhone 8. The customer service team contacted me, and it free of charge mailed me the correct wire for my phone. They also offered me other incentives due to the fact that their server was down for customer service for many many days. I must give this, and the app a 5-star rating wonderful job! Thank you again

So my daughter is 17 months old. This is way to complicated for her, but the IPad and light keys keep her attention and she enjoys smashing the keys. I can play the songs and play along with her and it's a lot of fun.It is annoying that the 88 key songs don't play right, they should just play the tunes and not have the key. It makes the songs seem empty.

I"m a little worried about this purchase. I've loved it the first few days. Well yesterday, my son was playing away on it and plugged in his iPad and all of a sudden, it wasn't producing any sound. We unplugged the iPad and it started working again. You are supposed to plug in your iPad to play games and do lessons, but it's no fun without the keys making sound. After unplugging it and turning it off and back on, it started working again. Overall, it's tons of fun with the games and ways it teaches you to play. I just hope we didn't get a lemon.

We purchased this keyboard mainly for my 2 creative kids. They spend a lot of time with it and are learning a lot. My favorite feature is the video tutorials by the Hoffmann Institute. They are included and he is a great teacher. Even my 4 year old is loving the lessons. On top of all that, my husband loves the piano. The first night we had it he spent an hour working on learning Green Sleeves.Although I kind of wish we had splurged and got the full size piano, the keyboard is great for my beginners (keys are easier to push down). I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to learn the piano. Save money on piano lessons and you don't have to bug your kids to practice. Love love love!

I bought The ONE light Keyboard for my daughter, who is 12 years old. The install is easy. She opened the box, installed the instrument and installed the app on iPad all by herself. It is fun, she can download the song and let it be played by the piano, and then learn to play at different speed. Out of curiosity, I tried it too. There is a lot of fun even for adult. It like play a music game, where you can play, learn, listen and watch the lights. There is speed control too. There are also a lot of different tones, like violin and drum.My younger daughter who is 5, played it too all day. I have to ask her to stop otherwise she will never let her hand out of the keyboard. The sound is great, you can adjust the volume so it will not disturb the whole family. And one bonus the power cord can charge iPhone or iPad.

It's a great keyboard for beginners or someone who wants to have fun.I bought it for my 5-year old daughter. When I connected it to the power and the Android tablet, she was so excited to learn how to play with the app.I am glad that low volume is quite low. For my daughter, it is not only a musical instrument but also a fun toy. Sometimes, she even wants to play it before she goes to bed. This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.

do not like - does what it says but I need the 88 keyboard.

If you are a professional Piano player, I don't think this is the model you should invest $$ on, but if you are new to Piano and found it's boring/hard to start, this might be your perfect starting point...the Piano itself has its nice design (I bought the white one), and sounds very well. We didn't spend much time on other tones, but found some of them (like the drum one) are very fun to play with. Although it doesn't have the full range of the keys (only 61 instead of 88), it won't affect you to play any beginner pieces thou. My son wants to play hedwig's theme(from Harry Potter), so I downloaded that one and found it's not that easy Now this is the most amazing part of this piano -- it connects to the ipad and help you to learn. You can have the piano "plays" it (with keys highlighted) , and then you can follow these highlighted keys one by one. This really helps! So far, we love this piano, and I may update this review couple weeks/months later when my son learns the piece :-)

Have had the One Light for about a month now, the build quality of the keyboard is really nice and high quality, it really feels solid and high end, everything was in the box cords and connectors, all there! It's also really fun the lit keys make it fun and really helpful, I've never played before but I'm learning! And I could see if you were a piano player in the past, this piano and app will get you playing again in no-time !! This really makes the learning process quite fun!!!!Shawn S.

WE LOVE THIS KEYBOARD!!! Technology is awesome. I have never seen anything like this. May daughter is playing songs she has wished to be able to play; now with the app loaded on the smartphone and ipad she can play anything. We are both loving it. The games are fun to play also or you can just play by ear any song. This is a very nice keyboard. Thanks!!

My grandchildren are really enjoying the piano and it is true with a little practice they can play songs just following the light.

The keyboard itself is everything I expected. My only complaint would be that it was shipped without a power cable.

Very nice keyboard. My three year old really enjoys the piano so we bought her this keyboard to start learning. The LED lights help guide her and she follows along nicely. Great product for beginners.
